Visitation Cemetery, Schuylerville, Saratoga Co, NY I, N20, Allen, Gertrude M. Tracey, 1897 - 1967. S-8, Barrett, Margaret Tracey, 1845- 1903 wife of James Barrett. I, C-12, Blake, Mary Wall, 1864 - 1912 wife of JohnBlake. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysarato/visitcemab.htm
Extractions: Visitation Cemetery is across the street from the larger Prospect Hill Cemetery and just north of the earlier Victory Mills Cemetery. Victory Mills and Visitation Cemeteries share many of the same Irish surnames, with the earlier family members buried in Victory and the more recent in Visitation. The Visitation Cemetery is divided by roads into three large sections and one small section; north, center, south and the triangular section in the southeast corner. Because a lot map was not available, the inscriptions were copied by section, from the front to the back of the cemetery, in approximate rows. Since Visitation is an active cemetery, with quite a bit of space available, additional rows will be added in the future. To find a stone designated C10, for instance, look in the center section, about half way back. N1 would be the front of the north section. All inscriptions were copied in the Fall of 1997 by Alice Lowder Zetterstrom (zetter@juno.com).

Extractions: Source The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus UK Quote: Thought and character are one, and as character can only manifest itself through environment and circumstance, the outer conditions of a person's life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state. This does not mean that a man's circumstances at any given time are an indication of his entire character, but that those circumstances are so intimately connected with some vital thought-element within himself that, for the time being, they are indispensable to his development.

Extractions: I walked this cemetery in May of 2000, while on vacation in Brimley. Did not have tombstone rubbing equipment with me at the time. When I return in September - I will take with me if anyone is interested in any of the broken stones. There are also other areas that I could not get into with stones. Lots that were fenced and totally overgrown and I will need to take proper clothing to work on them.
