Must Have for the Wards
Pocket Medicine (the "green" book now) is a must-have for any IM resident or in my case, a 3rd year medical student on his medicine clerkship. It is VERY condensed, so you have to know a lot of background before attempting to understand it. However, once you do start using it to work up common presentations (chest pain, GI bleed, etc), you'll realize it has everything you need to know in terms of a DDX and a work-up.

Best resource for Int. Med. wards
This is absolutely one of the best pocket resources for a student doctor or intern/resident on internal medicine wards!Although there is little difference cosmetically between the previous version (red book) and this version, some of the data within has been updated with the newest protocols for the wards, so one can provide the best care at a glance and look like a rockstar with the attending.

What a book
Oh lord, Great book. Not only it covers alot of topics with alot of details, but also it gives you data taken from the most recent up to date articles and studies, Then they mention the study for your referrence. I think every resident should carry one.

I cannot deny that this book fills a great need in internal medicine, where evidence based medicine is the current trend.For an advanced 3rd year medical student, 4th year medical student and interns alike, this book is solid gold.Get ready to begin practicing evidence based medicine the second you pick this book up.The most common ailments encountered by a house officer are listed with pretty much everything that you would need to know from A-Z to treat the disease or keep it under control until a specialty service is consulted.It is filled with references and one line key pointers to update you on current research.This book elegantly bullet points the crux of medicine that every true doctor, regardless of their field, should know.Keep in mind, however, that this book doesn't cover everything.It is meant as a starting point and will do an excellent job at that.It doesn't make you a specialist, but I feel confident that I could cover all the basic problems that are encountered in the hospital with this in my pocket.On a side note, I think that this book is too advanced for a beginning third year.They are still trying to find out what different acronyms mean, and it would be overly frustrating to have them read through this book that is littered with them.I might suggest reading a page or two out of this book and if you aren't comfortable understanding what you read, them try another source first until you feel better about this one. ... step 2 prep
the book is not bad - used to carry it around at the beginning of my third year but now i either keep it in my locker or at home. its a nice point-form review of topics and becomes more helpful when you use it to review topics.

Worth it
Buy it, its a great resource for your IM rotation and for step 2 studying. It has very few errors compared to a lot of the other medical books published by other residents/young physicians. It's illustrations/quick hits have been very helpful.

Thorough, but also thoroughly boring to read
Used for internal medicine and step 2 preparation. I know people love this. I thought the bullet point format was very boring and not memorable to read. I had a hard time reading this book and making the information stick. More of a reference than anything, but at that rate you might as well be using UpToDate. If you like outlines, this book is probably for you!

The best review book for physician assistant students for the PANCE.
I recently graduated from a Physician Assistant program and took the national board exam (PANCE). I had studied all of the recommended PANCE review books over and over, and needed something new. This book is the absolute best review book I have ever used, and is even better than most text books I've read. Good resource
The book was delivered promptly in very good condition. So far, I'm about halfway through it. It is very helpful in approaching topics from a clinical perspective and not strictly academic, as lots of other resources are wont to do. It also helps that the cases with the subsequent analysis are brief and straight to the point so that one can glean through the cases without too much trouble. However, I would not recommend it as a stand alone book; it is just a useful supplemnt

Best book I've come across so far
This book has been the best book I've used on the floors so far. The cases are concise and contain the key pearls of information you need to know on the floors. Moreover they are introduced in the style of a typical case presentation of a given problem. The different cases are organized into 60 major topics that are relevant to internal medicine. I've found just reading one or two cases a day on my medicine rotation an excellent aid to help me pick up information that I normally might miss in rounds, or by the mere fact that 3 months is just too short of a time to see everything you'll see on the test. I highly recommend this book as a study aid, in addition to MKSAP questions.

Great Supplement
For people who retain better through cases and paragraph format, Case Files can be a very helpful supplement to your main study guide for internal medicine. The cases are very relevant and cover the basic pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of a particular topic. I find the case/paragraph format and presentation of information to be very helpful in retaining information not only for the SHELF, but also for your actual rotation. The cases are short, easy to read, but full of pertinent and up to date information. This is the type of book you can read for 15 minutes and still get something out of, which may or may not be the case with main study guides.

Good book
Really good for case reviews.Not as detailed information as you'll see in, for example, Step Up to Medicine.But great for getting a quick general idea of how to handle different presentations and also great when you feel like if you have to memorize 1 more page of bulleted information you might just scratch your eyes out or beat your head against the wall (or maybe you could just cut back on the caffeine but then how'd we get through medical school?!).I recommend this book.

Excellent complement resource
Looking back on my internal medicine rotation (Jan/Feb 2010),I found this book to be the most helpful source of information with respect to the shelf exam.

I don't believe that it contains all of the information that you need to know, or for that matter, should know for your future. I do believe that it takes the critical concepts of diagnosis and management that you need for the shelf exam, and that you need to build a foundation on in further studies.

I used this text during the final week of my rotation, as a study guide for the shelf. Previously in the rotation I had read Step-up To Medicine once through. This book, used properly, allows for practice in the type of questions you'll be asked on the shelf. I also found that with 55 cases, every major disease that I was asked about was covered in this text in sufficient detail to answer the questions. Gives you the amount of information you'd need to know in the real world to speak intelligently with someone about a disease and it's treatment.

Fresh Medicine
Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen carefully explains why our present system of health care, including "Obamacare", cannot be sustained, and he offers his well thought out ideas regarding a complete overhaul. Since his career has been heavily involved with the current health care system, he brings first-hand expert knowledge to the issue. As a layman, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of his assumptions, predictions, etc., but his ideas appear to be sound.

The main thrust of his ideas is an almost completely new health care delivery system for every American, funded largely by employee/employer payroll taxes fed into a trust fund (similar to Social Security) and then distributed by the user via a voucher to a private "system of care", such as a major hospital with satellite clinics. These systems of care would be paid the fixed voucher amount (vouchers would vary in amount based on age, gender, location) and then be totally responsiblefor that user's care for the year. Users are free to choose their system of care from among competing private entities. Quality of care would be insured by the establishment of an independent (non-government) standards of care organization, which would establish standards, publish a "Red Book" of the standards, and then grade competing systems of care based on adherence to approved standard practices, while leaving plenty of latitude for individual physicians to deviate if justified. The system, as presented, has the advantages of simplicity, much less government involvement, full access by everyone without discrimination, and, most important, cost containment introduced solely by increased competition.

This book is well worth reading as it presents the basis for a way forward out of the current health care mess we are in.

A brilliant reference
If you are like me, and interested in this field, then I recommend you also get the The Energy Medicine Kit, which has a DVD where she demonstrates various energy routines, and an easy to follow five minute daily routine. This is now part of my daily routine. Everyone should have a daily routine for moving energy.

The book and the kit are stand alone products. I highly recommend both to everyone. I got the energy medicine kit first, and I am glad I did because there is nothing quite like seeing the exercises demonstrated, and I know I would not be doing these techniques properly if I did not first see them shown. The mutimedia is format is easier to follow and use.

The book also contains the five minute routine, and is more encyclopedic. If you are not already an advanced healer I recommend getting the kit first, because you are more likely to be able to follow a visual demonstration correctly. You are also less likely to understand the concept of energy testing without a visual demonstration which is like watching a magic show.

There is so much content in this book, which is based on the twin concepts of touch for healing and kinesiology (energy testing) in which she tests your muscle resistance,and then treats. Donna can see energy, but you can achieve the same thing with energy testing.

In this book, you learn about opening the chakras, and celtic weave, figure eights, strange flows, the aura, eye movement exercises, neurovasculars or fight or flight response and many other things.

If you have health challenges, you owe it to yourself to do everything you can to resolve them. Seek professional help, go see an energy healer to resolve the issues, and by all means use the techniques in this book, and the energy kit.

If you are like me you will be very pleased with this product. If you are unsure about which one to buy first, get the energy medicine kit. I wonder if this review was helpful.

an amazing tool to heal yourself
Im a massage therapist and a healer. But with energy medicine there is hope for people who don't find solutions for their illnesses. start doing the dayly energy routine, and already you will start improving. ( on the first chapters in the book)

Do the exercises related to your emotions. (chapter about five elements)

balance your meridians while pressing your neurolymphatic points (p 84)

if you've got a cavity try sedating the related meridian everyday during 4 weeks. I did it and the cavity disappeared. the dentist could just not believe it (on the chapter about pain)

if around you two people are quarrelling just zip yourself up and then zip them up, (tracing 3 times central meridian from pubic bone to the lower lip) even in your mind. it's amazing how fights stop when I zip people up. (this one we found it using logic)

this is a GREAT book and those are powerful teachings.

A "must have" book energy medicine
I am basically familiar with energy medicine and have had acupuncture before. This book takes you to the next level in how to do energy exercises to improve your health, while explaining basics very well also. Donna Eden's style is entertaining and informative.

If you buy one book on energy medicine, you should definitely buy this one.

kindle edition very akward
this is a very difficult book to follow on the kindle.it refers to text and illustrations by page numer but you have no real way of skipping to that page and just have to wait till you get there which is frustrating.for esample it will talk about tapping the 8th chakra and tells you to look at the chart on page 79.where the hell is 79 on the kindle.plus many of these practices require a partner.all in all very disappointing. ... Good review for the beginning of clinical rotation
I purchased this book because one of the authors is the director of the family medicine clerkship at my medical school. The book is a great introduction to family medicine and the most common patient cases you will see in the clinic. The book focuses more on clinical diagnosis and disease management than it does on pathophysiology, so if you want disease process details, you will need to supplement your learning with another source. Overall, I give this book 5* because of its comprehensive coverage of bread and butter family medicine diagnosis and treatment. As an aside, at least 3-4 of my NBME family medicine shelf questions were identical to cases illustrated in this book. The NBME family medicine shelf is difficult, and I don't yet know how I did, but I felt prepared, due in part because of this book. ... Read more

Not what advertise on site
I want to order the book which has 2 volumes , it was not clearly mentioned on the web site weather it is one volume or two volume . The seller said they will take it back but I have to pay for the shiping and have to be without book for a while . I wont recomend buying from this seller . At least they are supposed to tell the truth when selling the stuff .

Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine
This is an excellent medical textbook.It provides superb epidemiological appproaches to diseases, good descriptions of disease processes, and explains diagnostic procedures clearly.Would definitely recommend this for all serious medical students and interns.

This is really a great book for someone who wants to understand yoga and the fact that there are various types of yoga. All I can say is that I agree with all the positive things that others on this list have said. I actually tried many of the various types of Yoga before I settled on Bikram Yoga.

Yoga for Healing
This is a great book that has the prescriptions of a number of yoga teachers as well as the author.It shows a variety of ways to look at health conditions and gives case examples.Explanations and photographs of poses are clear, and they relate to regular people. There are modifications given.This book has helped me a great deal in managing some physical,stress related symptoms.I borrowed it from the library several times before I bought it.I felt I needed a personal copy as a reference.Highly recommended.

Great book!
I had to buy this book for a yoga class I'm taking, and it turns out that I never mind doing the reading homework!This book is interesting, easy to read, comprehensive and it has definitely helped me to get more out of my yoga practice.

After a year of learning
A very good book to increase the understanding of the different types and postures of yoga for medical purposes and even just for physical and mental well being, and understanding our body and mind better. We will need not only to continuously practice, but also reviewing the practice to see if it is the right way and also what's right for our individual body. What helps more, as a health practitioner, is seeing when the modern medicine has its limitation in treating chronic conditions and mental health issues, some people may find a way out in Yoga.

This book really focuses on yoga for diseases not conditions. I was disappointed as I prefer to know what poses are good for more common ailments like the flu or cramps? I didn't like the book style where he talks to a bunch of experts. Sr med student review
Great comprehensive internal medicine book!
This is the first internal medicine book that I have actually committed to reading.

The best part about this book is that it's readable. I made it through step 2 ck and almost all my rotations using small 'review books' and I was relying on memorization; however, with this book you get a concise yet comprehensive review by organ system that gives you an understanding, such that you come away knowing the material without the memorization.

I wish I had read this book earlier in my academic career. It's a great book that can be used for review or to follow along during rotations. If you want quick facts, get a Washington Manual. If you want an in-depth understanding that lasts, get Cecil's.

Limited Clinical Information Required for Boards, Shelves, and Practice
What this book does is give you a solid foundation about the pathophysiology associated with diseases.What it DOESN'T do if give you necessary clinical information required for boards, shelf exams, and clinical practice.For example, the sections on COPD and asthma: it does not discuss the different stages of severity of the diseases or what the guidelines recommend on treating the different stages.It's essential to know the difference between mild-intermittant asthma vs moderate-continuous asthma because different treatments go with it.It does not even discuss the stepwise approach to adding new medications to asthma patients.

This same pattern holds true throughout the text.It gives a good summary over pathophysiology, but does not go into clinical detail about classifying or treatment diseases, which is necessary for any medical student, resident, or practitioner.

Nice as a start
This is a really nice book when you start read in medicine. It is not superficial but at the same time doesn't go into much details. It kind of gives a general idea about each topic and if you need further information you go for cecil textbook.

great reference for clinicals
This book is great for clincial rotations, and I used it on almost all of them.It is clear, concise, and a relativly easy read despite its length. I actually read most of it during my Internal Medicine Clerkship, and I normally try to avoid reading the text at all costs.It doesn't go into extreme depth with the more rare conditions but that is why it is the "essentials".I'm tempted to upgrade to the full Cecil's just because of how much I loved this book, but why get rid of a good thing?

Amazing, though few illustrations + little short on some details
This is the book my school recommends for the basic internal medicine course. Its amazing. If you are a reader, and like medicine, this is a must.

The writing flows like silk. The chapters on Cardiology and Molecular Medicine are PHENOMENAL. Its comprehensive without being overloaded with details, its brief without being too brief, its a very enjoyable from cover to cover.

To give you an example of the kind of details it misses, in Chronic Renal Disease, you get a nice explanation of the complications though no expansion on the viscous circle that happens.

One other downside is the lack of illustrations. There do exist but there aren't many, same goes for tables. Also, the Neurology section could be better.

Read it, then jump to Cecil or Harrison if you want more details. I had to do so and made a mistake buying Kumar which I didn't like.

My having studied our first five editions of this text {all edited by Professor Tinsley Harrison} and my having professionally heard Distinguished Emeritus University of Alabama {U.A.B.} Professor and Chair-of-Medicine Tinsley Randolph Harrison, M.D., M.A.C.P. speak on more than one occasion I know well that Professor Tinley Harrison would be honored by this latest edition of his text.
Weighing only one and three {1 ¾} quarter pounds on our office medical scale, this inexpensive all-inclusive manual will fit into most backpacks or carryalls: complete and concise -- exactly what the busy Primary Care Practitioner needs to facilitate day-to-day clinical practice.

Great condition
Book was in great condition-shape of package wasn't right and it got torn up, but I'm happy with the book.

Excellent manual, but not up to the Merck
I bought this Medical Manual basically because of Dr. Anthony Fauci's involvement in it's production. The book is indeed excellent, but Is not as informative, nor as thorough as the Merck Manual, something I've been using as a source of medical information for 25 years. Perhaps that's the problem, I'm too used to the Merck. Harrison's is written in a style that's just a bit more simplistic than the Merck, which may be beneficial to some people who would otherwise need a Dorland's Medical Dictionary alongside their Merck. I'm by no means saying that the Harrison's is written for the novice, since that is certainly not the case, but when a physician is doing a quick refesher on a particular doseage, or diagnosis, you'll find he/she will turn to the Merck, even though the information contained in it can be older than Harrison's.

Wouldn't buy again
I bought this book to help me with an internal medicine rotation, and did not find it helpful at all. Cecil's and Current are much better.

This textbook is well-organized an clearly written. Clinical relevance permeates classical and molecular genetics. Very satisfied with this text and I will keep it as a reference for the future.

More like genetics of disease then clinical medicine
This is one of those comprehensive texts that can be difficult to wade through at times, but at least the writing is decent even if there is a glut of information.The focus is on the genetic mechanisms of disease and technologies used to detect and augment genetic information.For me, the book serves as a good review and extension of first-year biology, as well as an introduction to where DNA technology came, where it is, and where it might be going.

Very helpful book
I have used this book for all 3 of my daughters, I love that it overs many different comprehensive options on how to treat each problem we may encounter. The book covers conventional remedies, bach flower remedies, homeopathic remedies, herbal treatments, acupressure, general recommendations, and dietary guidelines as well as preventative measures which can be helpful in case you ever see a situation arising again (since if you are looking it up while the child is suffering from said problem it's too late for preventative measures).

As some reviews have mentioned there are remedies in the book which you have probably never heard of, I have found that writing down the suggested remedy and heading to a health food store was all I needed to do. The employees at the health food store have always been very willing to help me find what it is I need.

In the beginning of the book each medical field type has a section that briefly explains it's history and a chart outlining the different remedies available within that practice of medicine, how they are given, what they are given for, contraindications, and possible side effects. Then in the next section, common childhood health problems, each illness is listed in alphabetical order and goes more into depth about that problem and offers treatment plans for each of the types of medicine. Part three offers therapies and procedures such as elimination diet, pulse taking, and therapeutic recipes. Then finally they offer and appendix with a glossary, common medical abbreviations, recommended supplies, resource organizations, hot lines, and bibliographies for further reading.

I have found this is the only book I need, after having tried many different books and finding their layouts lacking. Where you could look up by the medicine/treatment or by the symptom only.

OUTSTANDING, BALANCED REFERENCE - A Mom Must-Have!
I have an extensive library of books, but if I were forced to give them all away but one, this is the one I would keep.This is my go-to book as a mom.

Every malady is listed alphabetically.The malady is described, and below the description is a balanced, detailed overview of possible treatments for that particular malady:

Then, after the overview of treatments, a general recommendation is given, and if applicable, prevention tips for the future.

This book is thorough, balanced, effective, and most importantly HELPFUL.With it, I am "Dr. Mom."Of course we see the dr. when needed, but the need is much less when I have information like this at my fingertips.When we do go to see the doctor, this book comes along, so I know what questions to ask.When I need to give a gift to a new mom, I give a copy of this book and a subscription to Mothering magazine.This book is a book EVERY parent needs to have handy on the shelf.There is NOTHING better out there.If there has ever been such a thing as a "Must-Have," this book qualifies.I also recommend Janet Zand's other book, "A Parent's Guide to Medical Emergencies : First Aid for Your Child."

Seems helpful
I bought this book prior to having kids to educate myself on different approaches to kids' medical issues.It is easy to read and understand. It has good basic information for someone like myself who has no medical background or real experience with kids. After reading it, I find myself leaning more towards nutritional approaches and conventional medicine than to the herbal treatments or homeopathic remedies

Not amused
Incredibly -- for a book and CD that costs $70 -- be warned that the CD may not work in your computer.It is for 32 bit operating systems, and most computers run 64 bit.She even has the nerve to include a notice that if you open the software, you can't return the book, but the card that informs you it will only run on 32 bit is INSIDE the CD package.

It is unprofessional and unethical to charge this much for an outdated product that many people won't even be able to use.

The Language of Medicine
I really enjoy this book. It allows you other views of A&P, with the prefix, root, of Medical terminology. I have used to for only 3 weeks, and I have to say, that I'm refering to it more than a regular A&P book for examples. Well, worth the money!!

Decent, Basic
Decent basic introduction. Nothing special, but is decently written.Do not recommend as a substitute for a wilderness first aid course, but will complement nicely. Item arrived when stated, and in stated condition.

Much of what I wanted to know
Actually I'd give it a 4.5.I am an average lay person, who lives in the south.I wanted to read about wilderness medicine so I would know how to treat my family and friends after a natural disaster like a hurricane, when help was NOT on the way.I've created a trauma bag (heavy military Mollie backpack) and begun to load it with many of the drugs and tools the book recommends.I had no idea how expense bandages are.But at the end of the day, I think this book provided exactly what it was setting out for.To give expedition leaders a reference point to administer medicine in the field.I know it sounds corny, but I actually want to go to a Wilderness First Responder course while I am on vacation this year.

I also went on the internet and downloaded the free pdfs of: "Backwoods Surgery (from 1910)", "When there are no Doctors" and "When there are no Dentists". I know, I know, those last two are for poverty stricken 3rd world countries. But.....uhhhh... I hate to break it to you charlie, but yeah, that's us now.

Congratulations to the small government Republicans and Corporate Person-hood boosters. Between you, you've obliterated the middle class. You let insurance company shareholders decide which poor "subscriber" gets what level of medical care through their insurance carriers. You allowed insurance companies (in the name of profit) to hamstring the good doctors with crushing paperwork; requiring that each type of insurance be filed distinctly and separately, so they end up hiring so much clerical staff that clerks outnumber medical personnel 2 to 1. And the cost for paying those clerks to file insurance paperwork gets passed on to the now massively underemployed and "under-insured" public. As for the bad doctors, you let them scam the system over-charging for tests, procedures, medicines we never needed in the first place. You let drug companies and their lobbyist buy off the good graces of...well, just about everybody other than the poor saps who end up taking their poison, whether they needed in the first place or not.

Doctors who stop accepting insurance for office visits and check-ups charge, on the average $30 to $40 dollars per visit. That, most people could afford, even without insurance. But nobody can afford insurance; unless you're soulless enough to work for an insurance company or for the government who seems intent on keeping them in business or for the drug companies.

So, given that someone I know will almost certainly become sick or injured at some point in the future and given that most of them either no longer have insurance or won't be able to afford the emergency room, I'll probably be the one they turn to because they've made it clear that they trust me because they think I'm "good at this sort of thing".

For all you Republican bastards and Libertarians/Anarchists who think that people should stop their whiny reliance on "Big Government" and take sole responsibility for their own family/health care/life, well, you are getting your wish. Unless you have a massive bank account or exceptional luck you are now in line to taste the bitter fruit of your twisted world view. And when you end up sick don't come crawling in my direction. I never took the Hippocratic Oath.

Does Exactly What it Says on the Tin
These cards are absolutely wonderful, and have served us well since I bought them.The book is very informative, and comes with explicit spread instructions, and great detailed descriptions of what each card means in every context.All in all, if you're after medicine cards, you can't go wrong with this set.

I love the book because it tells how animals teach us thru them.The badger teaches us to fight for ourselves, the wolf teaches us about loyalty, and family, and every animal out there has something to teach us things about ourselves.It's a very good book, and you keep using it's medicine as you grow.Our lives change so the book can change with us.

Can you spell "Archetype"?
I have owned and used an original version of "Medicine Cards" for many years.I find them simple and beautifully illustrated, and I love the way the book is written.Therefore, it was puzzling to read the indignant reviews that claimed that the authors did not understand, and therefore could not represent, Native American culture with respect to animal meanings.If read as an academic reference book, yes, of course it's vague and uncited. However, that was not the intent.Divination cards and shamanic practices usually depend on archetypes, which give symbolic and very general meanings to things. The archetypes (in this case, animals) indicate images and processes in the collective unconscious that are representational of the human journey and its challenges. As such, the Medicine Cards work beautifully and powerfully as messages to our inner Self.I can understand the protests that such-and-such an animal may not always stand for a particular quality in all tribal cultures.However, any one of those cultures is perfectly capable of claiming that theirs is the "right" interpretation. In order to bring value to a larger, more heterogeneous audience, one must generalize, and that is what the authors did here.They have, in essence, created poetry out of the mythology of animal meanings.One can value this approach without being scorned as a Native American wanna-be.

I have used these cards many times with myself and with my clients.In almost every case, the result has been profound and relevant meaning.This is true with any good divination system.The magic is in the intent.But there is a reverence for nature and a quiet thoughtfulness about these cards that is very appealing to many of us. I cannot speak to the newest version, but the original product provides a worthy trail to personal illumination!

I love this book!
I absolutely love this book!It's an awesome reference for a medical student (and I would guess for residents and docs too).Good layout and organization.Super useful!

Harrison's still a classic, but more manageable
Having Harrison's in a two volume set makes using it much more convenient.My wife, the physician has rheumatoid arthritis and trying to lug the single volume edition off the shelf for reference, was painful.The two volume set contains evrything the single does, even up-dated, but is lighter to use.

Fauci and Straus are junk scientists
Fauci is a very poor scientist. He lets his own political beliefs bias his medical opinions.As he has been in high positions in NIH this serves to greatly retard medical science and cause much suffering to disabled Americans.An example is his steadfast support of Stephen Straus in his disinformation campaign on ME (aka CFS).Fauci still includes the deceased Straus' inaccurate article as the section on ME in this edition.
Internist Paul Cheney, MD, PhD, the world's foremost clinican and top researcher on ME said of Straus' findings in his most (self-)publicized study, "it's an absolute lie." Internist Dan Peterson, also one of the world's foremost clinicians and researchers on ME said "Stephen Straus is a snake."Straus was still doing grand rounds in the mid- late 90's saying possible retroviral association with ME made no sense because retroviruses cause neurological, cognitive, immunological and endocrine pathology, which aren't prominent features of ME.These are in fact the central, disabling features of the disease. I'm an er doc. I do not work a shift without this at my computer. It gets right to the point and doesn't beat around the bush and so works well for the ed.

Great Reference
I am a Emergency Room Physician Assistant and I find that I use this book almost every day for reference. It has been well worth the money.Altho it is one of the less expensive texts I have run across. It is small and easy to carry around.Make sure to put your name on it or it will definitely grow legs and be adopted by someone else.

This extremely interesting book has wowed me from page one. A great companion to "Energy Medicine." Donna Eden does a more thorough job, in my opinion, of explaining how the body works and the history and basics of energy medicine. Highly recommended!
