Wow, what a tome! I literally could not put it down. It was exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Mr. Davies has done a great job with this book. I actually learned a great deal from the very first reading, and I'm on my third reading now (in case I missed anything). Much of the information contained herein seems to have been mentioned only in brief or bypassed entirely in other works I've read. That makes this an essential part of any medieval Welsh library (in my humble opinion anyway). ... Read more
