Volunteer Position Title: CyberCenter Attendant Position Description: A CyberCenter attendant oversees the center in the absence of the coordinator. The center can operate only when the coordinator or a volunteer is present to monitor operations. The attendant is responsible for answering the telephone, taking bookings, doing minor troubleshooting, and calling the appropriate individual when problems occur. An attendant assists users with applications such as Word and provides assistance using the Internet, but is not expected to provide formal instruction to users. Qualifications: A CyberCenter attendant must be able to communicate effectively in-person and on the telephone in English. The ability to speak a second language is a plus.
