Extractions: Valentines Day, celebrated on the 14th of February, has become a lovers holiday. Today couples in love exchange gifts such as candy and flowers to show their affection for one another. Valentines Day began however, in 5th Century Rome as a tribute to St. Valentine, a Catholic bishop. Valentine became the saint of love after he was beheaded by Emperor Claudius. Claudius felt that married men made poor soldiers so he banned marriage in Rome. Opposed to this idea Valentine secretly married young men and women who came to him. For his efforts Valentine was imprisoned and eventually killed. While he was in prison however, he fell madly in love with the blind daughter of his jailer. Through his faith Valentine was able to heal his love from her blindness. Right before he was taken to his death, he signed a farewell message to her, From your Valentine. This phrase has been used on St Valentines Day ever since.

Many things have happened since our last Newsletter. I have now completed my Ministerial Course, after years of study. On July 25th, 2002 in Norfolk, Virginia, I had the great privilege and honor to be ordained as a Unity Minister with The World Federation of Unity Churches by the Rev. Kathy Bishop and Rev. Eva Grace Johnson. It was a wonderful ceremony and I felt as if I was getting married. It was a great, wonderful, moving experience. I have in one week, since I have been home, conducted one funeral service and will be conducting a wedding this Saturday. In Norfolk Virginia at the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) Congress in July of this year, I was elected the District President for the INTA for Western Canada. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE ..." ....... it usually worked, hah. Muhahahha I'm evil. Anyways .. we went to sleep and yadda yadda .. woke up @ around 8:30-ish .. Alex worked more on her site, but then all this crap happened to my computer so it's all goooone now .... *No Alex .. couldn't save your image, sorry =( * .. she left @ around 10:15 .. and then I spent time cleaning out my computer files so I'd have more disk space, and reading this book for English, which we were supposed to read around 40 pages of it, but I ended up finishing the whole book .. pretty good book, actually. And now .. I'm here .. spending my Easter alll bored ........ I gotta get outta here ..... Ooh .. here's a picture of moi and the only Easter egg I have .. lol, I made it like in 4th grade .. it's hard-bolied so it survived all these years .. anyways .. it's like all faded now, but it's *supposed* to be pink and purple .. it's interesting-looking. And no, it isn't rotten, it doesn't smell, and I don't know why it's still fine. I get questions like that alot every Easter, haha.
