From the supplier: British journalists have criticized the US press coverage of Sinn Fein leader, Gerry Adams' 48-hour visit. The Sinn Fein is widely known as the political party of the Irish Republican Army (IRA). US journalists inaccurately reported that Adams had condemned IRA violence. The Daily News and the Post, which cater to Irish Americans, conveyed the impression that Adams was working toward peace. By focussing on personality, rather than issues, this coverage assured the victory of Adams' propaganda and gave him an upper hand in the on-going negotiations in Northern Ireland.
