1-0 out of 5 stars Huge, glaring bit of really terrible information
While this book adequately covers the usual topics for a book on osteoporosis, there is a bit of misinformation that is so huge that, as you can see, I gave the book one star. This is misinformation that is repeated over and over, typically from the traditional medical establishment, and also from under-informed journalists.

The author seems to think that the only hormone to replenish depleted progesterone in menopausal women is progestin.Wrong!Progestin is the synthetic drug used in the WHI trials, and was for years the "synthetic progesterone" of choice of MDs until those study results were released. However - it is easy and inexpensive to use natural progesterone, which is chemically the same as what your body produces, and chemically different from the synthetic progestin. The author then goes on to cite increased risks of cancer from hormone therapy.Well, yeah, when you use synthetic chemicals, common sense tells us that's probablynot the best idea. There are hormonal therapies that use chemically-identical compounds, but the profits do not accrue to the pharmaceutical companies, so they continue to brainwash physicians against them.

This is a huge disservice to women and is incredibly irresponsible misinformation peddling. Please, do some research on the topic.Read every book you can find on menopause (osteoporosis will be covered, as will many other important topics) and realize that many books by MDs will make the same mistake this author does - but many others will not.You have to learn for yourself to recognize when misinformation is being given. Progestin is not natural.Progesterone is.Estrogen plus progesterone is what your body produced when you were young and healthy. They are not suddenly poisonous after your 50th birthday.(Whereas, apparently, the synthetics traditionally prescribed by MDs are.)

Everyone is different, and every woman needs to make up her own mind. But please, do it with the correct information, and not the brainwashing of the pharmaceutical industry.

4-0 out of 5 stars Useful information from a physician/patient
If you are like millions of other women who have been diagnosed with low bone density, DON'T PANIC!I bought this book after a bone density scan; my physician informed me that I have spinal osteopenia and gave me some fairly alarming warnings about possibly needing to be on medication (though, to his credit, he suggested I obtain a second opinion).I immediately ordered this book and "The Myth of Osteoporosis" (also recommended) and am exceedingly glad I did. This book offers a comprehensive overview of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, with much useful information that, as the title suggests, my doctor never provided.I learned that while bone density is a serious issue for older women, and should not be trivialized, the medical profession and pharmaceutical companies have converted what is essentially a normal state of aging into a disease.Women concerned about bone density should thoroughly inform themselves about how bone density scans are interpreted (this is a controversial area) and about all the medical and nonmedical options available to them.Equally important, they should educate their daughters, because the first few decades of life is the prime time for building healthy bone. For many women, the best course of action will simply to be to eat right, get plenty of exercise, and stop worrying!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Information
This book has much information about osteoporsis and what it means to your future. Along with this book, I strongly suggest reading another book "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause - The Breakthrough Book on NATURAL Progestrone".The Osteoporsis book is extremely informatative about all aspects of the disease, osteoporsis, while the Progestrone book is full of informatin to aid you to become involved with your doctor in setting a course of action against osteoporsis. It is wonderful in explaning the differences between natural and man-made hormones. It gives information on REVERSING osteoporsis. Both books are a must read for anyone who has osteoporsis or is headed in that direction. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars An enlightening life saver
I bought this book after I learned that I have all the signs of the triad and was struggling to understand both how I developed my health problems and how I can recover. This book answered all of my questions. It also helped me realize that I am definitely not alone.

The book is written in an engaging and easy-to-read style, which makes the medical information easy to comprehend. The book also includes profiles of various female athletes and athletic women. It seems likely that every reader will identify with at least one of the profiles. In addition, Dr. Otis uses great phrases that one can recall when she needs to remind herself of the goals. My favorites are "too fit to quit" and "too thin to win."

Whether you're an athletic woman or someone who cares for an athletic woman, I highly recommend this book. It will be a steep climb to health, but this book leaves me confident that I can be fit and healthy again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coaches! Let women be women
I am a male coach of female soccer players.I would go so far as to say that the depth of knowledge contained in this book is beyond that which many coaches of team sports would search for. However, coaches who are interested in getting the best from their athletes, rather than having athletes fit their own personal coaching agendas, will find in these pages essential truths that will illuminate their coaching. There has been a strong social tendency for women's understanding of ability and success to be measured by male standards (the sense of athletic body image in connection with performance, which is dealt with in detail, is only one of them driven by this perspective), and this book is thankfully one which reminds us that women are not only entitled to be judged as women, but need and deserve to be so.As coaches, and certainly as male coaches, we cannot help our female athletes realise their potential until we understand them better and give them credit for being who they are, and encourage them to be who they are. This book helps us do just that.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must for All Female Athletes
Books which honestly deal with the pressures and concerns of female athletes are rare, and this one should be required reading for every active woman from twelve to sixty. There is lots of information out there on how to be thin but far less on how to be fit. Otis and Goldingay are among the very few to acknowledge that they are not one and the same. This is not a book about eating disorders - though they are intelligently discussed. Nor is it a book about how to get in shape. It's much more. The authors honestly address medical issues such as amenorrhea and osteoporosis, provide information on nutrition, injuries and maintaining optimal energy for performance. Most important of all, they are medical professionals finally urging athletic women to be as strong as they can be. For anyone who's ever struggled between the twin camps of thin and fit, this book MUST go to the top of the pile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Covers a gamut of issues concerning women athletes
The Athletic Woman's Survival Guide covers a gamut of issues concerning women athletes including eating disorders, amenorrhea, osteoporosis, body image. One of the most important chapters is on getting and giving help, forming a support team, getting referrals, the journey to recovery while continuing training, and communicating effectively with family, friends, teammates, and coaches. The Athletic Woman's Survival Guide concludes with an excellent chapter on "Peak Performance: Preventing the Triad" and sites specifically what the woman athlete can do, what her friends can do, what her family can do, what schools and organizations can do, what their men can do, and what coaches and athletic departments can do to assist the woman athlete to thrive, prosper, and perform in the competitive world of athletic competition. Highly recommended for personal, professional, and athletic department reference libraries, The Athletic Woman's Survival Guide is enhanced with references, resource lists, and a comprehensive index.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Athletic Woman's Survival Guide
This book is a must for all active women. This book has everything! I especially enjoyed the comprehensive case studies of accomplished women athletes and how they took control of their health issues. This book covers, in depth, eating disorders and how to overcome them. It also covers all women's health issues from menstruation to injuries to everyday aches and pains. Extremely valuable information and sound and compassionate medical expertise are key elements of this book. I highly recommend this book for ALL women, young or old. It is a valuable resource. ... "Gill Sanson's book is a well-researched breath of fresh air that will help women everywhere better trust the wisdom of their bodies." -- Christiane Northrup, M.D.

The Myth of Osteoporosis is a research-based work that provides clear insight into the myths of osteoporosis. These myths motivate both patient and physician into a lifetime of unnecessary testing and drug therapy — therapy that can in fact be life-threatening. Gillian Sanson's well-documented explanation of these myths can spare women great anxiety. She takes the fear out of aging and restores women's sense of control over their bodies. She gives women good reasons for challenging the common way that osteoporosis is handled in the United States and in many other industrialized nations. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is a must for anyone diagnosed as having Osteoporosis
I think this book is tremendously valuable as such, but a must for anyone who has been diagnosed as having Osteoporosis. It is a careful, scientific, jaw-dropping, and eye-opening account of what many women are meeting in doctor's offices after they reach menopause. Hysterectomies used to be the pharmaceutical cash-cow, but now it's osteoporosis!Watch out ladies, don't let them scare you into taking hurtful medications for something you may not even have!

4-0 out of 5 stars understanding treatment for osteoporosis
This book really helps calm the fear that hearing a diagnosis of osteoporosis generates. It helps you understand what osteoporosis really means & the true cause of broken bones.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Myth of Osteoporosis
"The Myth of Osteoporosis" is a book that should be read by every woman or man who receives a diagnosis of osteoporosis. Do not blindly accept a doctor's admonition that you must take one of the popular drugs, such as Fosamax or Boniva. Do not blindly follow television commercials by celebrities that tell you to request a prescription from your doctor. Doctors are well-meaning, but too often rely on flawed studies subsidized by pharma companies. Currently, these drugs are the "cash cows" of several companies. Don't expect those companies to explain the difference between bone density levels and fractures.

After taking a bone density test and receiving a diagnosis of osteoporosis, the doctor handed me one alternative --a prescription for Fosamax. Fortunately, I had read a number of depositions of women harmed by bisphosphonates. Several doctors called this "anecdotal" information used by lawyers, not the "scientific" approach used by medical professionals.

This book provides a balanced view of various drugs designed to treat osteoporosis and discusses the many myths that surround the disease and bone density tests. Itprovides a realistic framework for making a decision whether to treat the condition with or without drugs.

Understand your options before poping a bisphosphonate pill into your mouth. It could save your life. This book is well worth your time.

5-0 out of 5 stars The myth of osteoporosis
I have read several books on osteoporosis and this is by far the best book I have read.Well researched and the information is backed up by lots of data.Excellent book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Life and good health are much simpler than we make it.
Gillian Sanson goes against the current by empowering women and encouraging them to take responsibility for their own health through research, information, courage, optimism and good-sense. Her book is thoroughly and carefully researched, with clear scientific references for each of her claims. With the wealth of information we have today, it doesn't make sense to follow your doctor blindly, without questioning exactly what his/her recommendations will do to YOUR body.

She also goes against the current by ditching the "magic pill" notion of medicine (which, incidentally, is highly profitable for the medical and pharmaceutical empires) and advocating a holistic approach to better bones through lifestyle changes such as exercise, sound nutrition and a clear, peaceful mind. She explains which types of exercise and which nutrients are important for our bones, and why.

Buy and read this book. Buy more copies and give them to your friends and family members. I will help you make your bones stronger, stop worrying needlessly and, as a bonus, lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, and live a happier and more satisfying life.

Life and good health are simple. Some professionals and corporations try to convince you they are complicated, because they profit from disease, not from good health. Take back your own life and health. This book will help you enormously. ... Read more

Osteoporosis is a global threat because it can impact every human being as they age. In this new edition, the authors point out the enormous scale of the problem in terms of human suffering, morbidity and mortality on the one hand, and the astronomical national costs on the other. Written in an easy-to-read style, this book updates physicians on the current knowledge about bone structure, physiology and pathology, with an emphasis on the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of osteoporosis. Its purpose is to educate members of the medical profession about this widespread and potentially disabling disease, while providing information on related current evidence-based medicine. The book covers everything from basic physiology to osteoporosis diagnosis, including utility of specialized tests and current treatment recommendations, and will provide the primary care physician with sound medical knowledge in the prevention and management of osteoporosis. It is up-beat and optimistic, with a touch of humor; it is scientifically based but provides easy-to-follow guidelines for lifelong maintenance of skeletal structure and function. 3-0 out of 5 stars Not practical
While Robert Pirello gives some good advice re: supplements, etc.Not many of us have the time or money to have personal trainers, homeopatic doctors (insurance will not pay for them) or a personal cook. Also, in the back of the book, it said if you had questions, etc. send a letter to their address. I did that months ago and have heard nothing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply life changing!
I have read all of Christina Pirello's books, and when I heard that her husband Robert wrote one, I knew I had to get it.And I am glad that I did because this books is amazing! It is full of validated scientific research but presented in an easy to understand way.No matter what stage of health you are in, this book has something for you.You will not be dissapointed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally~Real Solutions!
This is my new favorite book!Robert Pirello candidly shares of his devastation in discovering that, as a young man in his 40's, he had the bones of a man in his 80's.He sustained several compression fractures in his lower spine. He had been a marathon runner for many years, and also had a very healthy (or so he thought) natural foods diet.

Last year, I was diagnosed with osteopenia, and I'm so thankful to have found this book, which is a real education in preventing osteoporosis, and even healing our bones.I, for one, refuse to take bisphosphanates, which all the commercials lead us to believe is the golden remedy. The potential risks and side effects are something I personally don't want to take a take a chance on.

One of the biggest changes Robert made in his diet was to add lots of beneficial fats, such as olive and avocado oils. He lists the supplements he takes for bone health, and there is one supplement he seems to credit the most for gaining back an unprecedented percentage of bone.He recommends a specific brand that he researched as truly being able to build bone density. And there are cautions with this as well (such as not taking it with grapefruit juice). He encourages everyone to work with a doctor when taking this and other supplements.

Robert actually gained bone back (something my doctor told me is nearly impossible once there is a diagnosis of osteoporosis). And he is running again, even marathons! That, to me, is a miracle.

This book is a testimonial well worth listening to and learning from, because this courageous man has real documented results. This is a book I knew I had to own, to refer to often.Besides having great information on bones, there are several chapters of bone-building delicious recipes~a bonus!

I highly recommend this book to everyone concerned about the health of their bones, and I wish I could give it 10 stars. To me, Robert is a pioneer, pointing the way for all of us baby boomers who thought we were so invincible.Especially those of us who have been practicing natural health lifestyles for so many years, and maybe missing a few key ingredients. He generously shares all he has learned. And at such a bargain price!

I first read this book about six months ago.I found it through a search at my Milwaukee Public Library. After looking at about 10 books I found this very comprehensive with a good glossary and index.

We women think wehave read and understand osteoporosis until some one close to you has beenfound to have the disease and the comments are this is the worst I haveever seen. This from an 85 year old woman who raised chickens and soldeggs on a farm up until 30 years ago and then retired to town.It is notbelieved that any Dr. recommended that she take calcium or any otherpreventitive measure. In fact she fell 18 months ago breaking a wrist andno one even thought to do a bone scan at that time. Thanks to mysister-in-law she demanded a bone scan prior to surgery to replace a knee.

This book discusses medicine and what you need to do - exercise andmedication to turn the bone density around.Up until reading this I had noidea that the density could be reversed.I also see this in other recentconference notes etc.

We ordered this book for all of my mother-in-lawssons and today I am sad to say that my sister, who also has spent all ofher life on a farm has osteoporosis and part of a blind osteoporosis 10year study (she is not going to participate any longer as she feels shewill be to busy getting well,) at a pretty high level so I am ordering thebook for her. ... Product Description
A wholesome and simple plan to gain stronger bones and overall well-being, this handy resource is written by a leading authority on natural health.Amazon.com Review
Why take hormones and supplements to ward offosteoporosis--the bone-thinning disease that many postmenopausal womenworry about--when you can get calcium and other nutrients needed forhealthy bones from eating the right foods? That's the message fromAnnemarie Colbin, a food therapist who authored a previous book,Food and Healing. While she acknowledges some people wouldrather pop pills than go to the trouble of cooking healthy foods, sheargues her philosophy persuasively.

First, Colbin describes foodsthat studies suggest may weaken the bones, such as caffeine andtomatoes. Then she presents evidence for bone-strengthening foods, going beyond the conventional wisdom that dairy products are the bestway to get dietary calcium. In fact, she writes, the Chinese vegetablebok choy provides the most calcium per calorie of any food--more thandouble the amount per calorie in skim milk. The book includes morethan 60 recipes to help put Colbin's philosophy into practice, although many of the recipes call for ingredients such asseaweed. Detailed nutritional analysis of the recipes takes up morethan 60 pages, space that might have been better spent, perhaps onrecipes using more easily available ingredients.

Even if you're notinterested in following Colbin's philosophy exactly, her book providesinsight into how what we eat affects our bones. "Eating well isthe best prevention," Colbin writes. "I hope you will findsome ideas here that apply to you, to help you remain strong until theday you decide to leave the earth. Once you know the facts, your ownindividual course of action will become clearer." ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars some good stuff
This is well documented and extremely well written, very fluid. I'm a veg so I would have wanted a meatless book, so I have to skip over the blood & bones parts to get to info I can use. I see a lot of meaters with the endless broken hips and bones so I can easily do without the traditional way down that rat hole. I have a few other books of hers which are more oriented in my direction and am hoping her next book on bone health coming in Feb is more on my wavelength.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally something I can believe and follow
I am thrilled to discover this book by Annemarie Colbin about such an important issue for me and many other women of my generation.I have a heart problem so when my Kaiser physician told me I should take Fosamax for my osteoporosis I decided there must be another way. When you take Fosamax, it sends calcium to your bones. But, your heart needs calcium too.So, how do you know if you are doing more damage to your heart and other tissues if you take this drug? What's more important - my heart or my skeleton.

With the information from this book, I have a way to improve both my skeleton and be good to my heart.I like the way she writes - with good data, lots of resources and references, but in a way someone not very technical, like me, can understand why things work the way they do.And the recipes look great.I haven't tried any of them yet, but plan to, once I get my own book (I found this in the library). To me one of the most important points she makes is that calcium isn't the entire answer - it's all nutrients and the amounts of them that are so critical. And, every body is a little different in the way it needs to receive these nutrients. If your ancestors didn't traditionally eat milk products, milk probably isn't the best way for you to get the needed nutrients for your body.

I learned that maybe my joint and back pains might be from eating too many tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants and peppers - these are nightshade vegetables and have 'alkaloids' which mess us the calcium metabolism. If cultures included a lot of these foods in their diets, they typically also included a lot of dairy products because "dairy and nightshades are opposite and complementary; if you eat one, you need the other".

I also learned that chocolate and "caffeine consumption increases the excretion of calcium (away from the bone) as well as magnesium through the urine, which indicates bone loss.Young women seem to be able to compensate for this loss and make it up faster through increased and more efficient calcium absorption from the intestines.Older women, on the other hand with age- and hormone-related calcium imbalances, do not seem to be able to compensateas efficiently, and are at higher risk for thinning bones, especially if their calcium intake is low." P34 - 35

She goes on to talk about studies of how much is too much, and if de-caf is an alternative (it isn't).This information is fascinating.

I plan to give a copy of this book all my friends and family.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful Advise for Strong Bones
Annemarie Colbin has writen a wonderful, concise and palatable manual for understanding the relationship between lifestyle and bone health. She systematically details the causes of bone deterioration and establishes a course of action to counteract its progression.I would recommend this book to anyone, practitioner or patient, who either has a family history of osteoporosis or will be older tomorrow than they are today.I guess that includes us all.Great job Annemarie!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must read for those who care about their health
As usual, Annemarie Colbin's voice of reason brings hope to a field of health awareness where hype and misinformation dominate. This book is fascinating and, like her other books, forces one to THINK about the thingswe put into our bodies every day.The approach she proposes isunconventional to most Americans but please don't dismiss it.Remember, osteoporosis is thriving in the countries (like ours) where dairy productsare freely consumed by the majority.Give this book a read and you won'tbe sorry!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for strengthing our bones!
I feel very fortunate to have found this very enlightening book about thevery serious ailment facing, mostly, the women of our society:OSTEOPOROSIS.Relying on her own family's years of natural bone health, she gives the reader many facts and field results on the "NutritionalAspect" of treating, and improving our bones throughout our lifetime. Her 60+ recipes are original and sometimes very unique, giving a veryencourageing start to, hopefully, a new awareness and lifestyle. I havegreatly enjoyed reading, learning, and following her many examples andsuggestions, and fixing her recipes...I know I feel better already. 1-0 out of 5 stars If I could give it zero stars, I would
How ironic that ten years after the approval of Fosamax, we are now seeing the ACTUAL effects of this poison.Do yourself a favor...do your own research and don't believe the hype in this book.Sponataneous fractures of the femur, osteonecrosis of the jaw, atrial fibrillation.THESE are the REAL effects of Fosamax and other drugs in its class. Osteoporosis is caused by an imbalance in your diet. (acidosis) A chemist once told me a couple of years back when I asked her if she'd ever consider taking this class of drug, "I would never put that stuff in my body...it's poison."Read the chapter in "Overdosed America" about osteoporosis and this drug.It is NOT the cure...but it will, in time, prove to be worse than the disease for many who unsuspectingly and blindly trusted their doctors and the pharmaceutical companies. It's all about money. This is one of the most widely prescribed drugs in THE WORLD, and we are just now beginning to see the havoc it wreaks on the human body. It stays in your system for TEN YEARS after you've taken your last pill. It's all smoke and mirrors. It only LOOKS like your bone density is increasing because it causes inflammation. Please, do yourself a BIG FAVOR and take calcium citrate supplements in a two to one ratio with chelated magesium.Do weight bearing exercise, and DON'T PUT THIS POISON INTO YOUR BODY.

1-0 out of 5 stars Some good information but....
You have to be suspicious of a book when it advertises a drug (Fosamax) on the front cover and promises a cure when there is no cure. I think the book also confuses bone density with bone strength and all too quickly recommends hormone treatment and Fosamax. Let the reader beware! I have ostopenia and osteoporosis by today's measurements.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cure?
This book hypes new drugs and cures for and prevention of osteoporosis. Well, they may work, but I am proof that despite taking Fosamax for 7 years since before menopause, and other drugs as well (miacalcin), it isn't the cure for everyone and, in fact, my condition has worsened to the point of fracturing my spine when I coughed. I have ALWAYS exercised, weight trained, and have a farm with lots of inherent "weight training",etc., My diet is extremely healthy- no processed foods, etc. We are the guinea pigs of the epidemic of osteoporosis, and frankly, "they" don't know much yet. Unless you are truly ignorant ofthe subject, this book is not much help.

5-0 out of 5 stars Osteoporosis doesn't have to happen to you!
This book is a real eye opener. I thought it was a disease that old folks got. Now I know I need to start a plan right away for myself and my children to make sure we prevent this disease. Great book, easy to read and the suggestions on prevention are now a part of our daily lives.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best for Building Bones!
I'm technical writer with a broadband company in Atlanta, and had neverheard of osteoporosis--until a bone density test showed I had osteoporosisat age 48. My bone density at that time was like a woman, age 65!! Imaginethe fear I faced. My doctor put me on Fosamax and HRT. I started walking 5days a week--started weight lifting every other day. I added calciumtablets and 2 more glasses of skim milk daily. Last year (2 years since Iwas diagnosed), my bone density had actually increased!! I'm strongernow--and more well-informed. This book confirmed what I was told--and whatI did to save my bones. I hope it will help you, too. ... Read more

Since the publication of the first edition, the U.S. Surgeon General released the first-ever report on bone health and osteoporosis in October 2004. This report focuses even more attention on the devastating impact osteoporosis has on millions of lives. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 2 million American men have osteoporosis, and another 12 million are at risk for this disease. Yet despite the large number of men affected, the lack of awareness by doctors and their patients puts men at a higher risk that the condition may go undiagnosed and untreated. It is estimated that one-fifth to one-third of all hip fractures occur in men.

This second edition brings on board John Bilezikian and Dirk Vanderschueren as editors with Eric Orwoll. The table of contents is more than doubling with 58 planned chapters. The format is larger - 8.5 x 11. This edition  of Osteoporosis in Men brings together even more eminent investigators and clinicians to interpret developments in this growing field, and describe state-of-the-art research as well as practical approaches to diagnosis, prevention and therapy.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent book
this book is an excellent resource for building/rebuilding strong bones in the back.It has great exercises -- quite a variety with pictures to help you do them right. It was recommended to me by a physical therapist who said it was a textbook for her, and the best she had seen on osteoporosis treatment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the Bunch
I have a few books on exercises for osteoporosis and this one is the best.Well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT in every way!
I have been using Sara Meeks's original edition of Walk Tall for many many years, and found it so helpful. I have to say though that the new edition is much better. There are way more exercises and types of exercise, and there is lots of helpful, sensible, down to earthinformation about osteoporosis.

The exercises start out so simple that practically anyone can do them, and yet after doing these exercises I feel so much stronger, straighter (!!!!) and am filled with energy. I usually spend 15-30 minutes each morning, and find there is enough variety that I can do different things on different days, which makes it much more fun. After exercising I feel as though my body just floats upward by itself - standing straighter feels so good!I love the balance and walking exercises - am finding that I can walk farther than I have in years. Also there are exercises with resistance bands, foam roller, etc. etc. All good!

According to my physical therapist, Sara Meeks is a real authority in this area (osteoporosis) and I intend to stick with and grow with this exercise program to help maintain my posture, strength and (hopefully) bone density as the years go by - and hopefully without drugs.

Well worth every penny! (By the way, I been told I have osteoporosis for years.)
