Write and Publish Your Own Storybook Tracy Ryks Parents and children in kindergarten to sixth grade will get the experience of learning how to write their own storybooks. You will learn how to develop a main character, create a problem for him or her, and resolve the situation. Class participants will write a story together to give children hands-on experience and parents get tips on how to encourage their child's storytelling abilities. Then, participants will write their own story to be bound in book form. Fee includes the publishing/binding of the story into a hardcover book. We'll also examine easy ways to preserve your children's artwork to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake. Not only are there tremendous educational benefits, this is a fun activity you'll be able to continue at home. One session/$40 per pair (adult with one child). In fact, the students have driven all over the Seattle metropolitan area learning about everything from the visual arts, to music theory, to drama. They even choreographed and performed a dance for their classmates. And none of the students even has designs on becoming an art teacher.
