The latest release of HTML Author, version 5.1, supports form and table creation. It can automatically generate a table of contents in hypertext from a word document. Another handy feature of HTML Author is that it features an extensive checking and error reporting for correctness of generated HTML. This HTML add-on is similar to other HTML editor add-ons. A number of tool bars lie within the program that facilitates the insertion of HTML tags. The advantage of using an add on product is that it can convert existing documents easily. HTML Editors We are often asked by people who are just learning how to create their web sites, "Can I just use a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor, or do I actually have to learn HTML?". Our philosophy and opinion on the matter is that while WYSIWYG editors can offer a quick method of rendering a concept, they do NOT produce optimal code, and actually often produce incorrect HTML! In other words, it is a good idea to understand HTML in order to fix and optimize your code. As we mostly hand code our pages, we tend to prefer editors that are not WYSIWYG, but ones that allow shortcuts to commonly used markup tags, and that allow you to view the results of your code. A password file can have an expiry date so it's possible to allow authorized access for a given period of time only. This means the original image applets are left unchanged but the site visitor may have to receive, possibly through purchase, a new password file to continue viewing the images.

It does have some irritating features, i.e. not enough useful images, backgrounds etc. But for the modest price - here in the UK we pay far more for a lot less(!!) - it's no bad purchase and I'd certainly recommend it to a complete beginner.
