Programs Health Nursing The Adult Residential Care Home (ARCH) Training Program was developed with the Department of Health (DOH) for nurse aides with working experience in a skilled nursing long term care facility or home care or hospital care. The program prepares operators to provide residential care of individuals in the home. The program consists of three one credit courses which are taught in the evenings twice a year. The Department of Health has additional structural and service requirements for operating an ARCH home. Regulations are found in Chapter 100 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. Extractions: January 1999 To All DOE Employees: This brochure has been prepared to reaffirm the State of Hawaii's non-discrimination policy, as well as Board of Education Policy #5513, which prohibits unlawful discrimination in all Department of Education schools and offices. The Board of Education's nondiscrimination policy (Policy #5513 and related regulations) applies to all DOE employees. All DOE schools and offices shall enforce the Board of Education's policy prohibiting unlawful discrimination. Administrators and supervisors must give serious attention to all complaints of unlawful discrimination, including complaints of sexual harassment. Each complaint must be investigated in a manner that is sensitive to the privacy rights of the complainant-victim. If such conduct is found to have occurred, prompt corrective action shall be taken to stop any unlawful behaviors and to ensure that further acts of harassment or other discrimination do not occur. Any DOE employee who violates the policy will be subject to discipline which will include suspension and termination in appropriate cases. In addition, employees violating the nondiscrimination policy may be subject to civil and/or criminal liability.
