5-0 out of 5 stars Great book for beginners and experts!!!
I feel that this book was extremely helpful to many ESL questions I had. After reading this book, I was also able to create a presentation for other teachers in order to better answer questions that they have about ESL programs and the laws concerning them. The laws are clearly laid out and organized for easy understanding.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for ESOL Teachers!
This book provides a teacher and administrator with the information we need to advocate for a superior ESOL program.I was never exposed to the laws and regulations for TESOL except superficially in graduate school. This book lists them and provides good examples of how excellent programs can be created.Mangaging ESL Programs in Rural and Small Urban Schools isn't just for managers in those areas, this book is for all ESOL professionals.I learned a lot. ... Product Description
Speak To Me has earned a reputation as the highest quality self-study ESL video program available. It is designed as a self-instructional course for use at home, the office, or as a supplement to a school program. However, two or more students can work together at the same time. Speak To Me makes ESL students THINK in English by challenging them. The video instructor shows simultaneous scenes and asks questions about them. From the images on the screen, students can make intelligent decisions and answer the questions. The material is designed to be interesting to both children and adults. The major emphasis in Speak To Me is on teaching students how to speak standard American English using high-frequency vocabulary. Behavioral scientists have shown that you can absorb a new language much more quickly when you are able to visualize the word being learned: that is, having an actual picture or action in your mind. Even if students have problems answering a question and must wait to hear the correct response from the video instructor, they will continue to think in English by associating the correct English word with the image on the screen. All of the images in Speak To Me are sequenced in logical order so students learn progressively. Speak To Me helps students store new images and words simultaneously as they see the object or action on the television screen and learn the words or expressions which refer to it.Summary of Speak To Me Features:The Speak To Me learning system is one of the fastest, easiest, and surest ways to learn English. All you need is a VCR, a television, and the desire to learn English.Learn quickly. You will find that you understand the basics of English almost immediately. Every day you will add new words and phrases to your vocabulary.Speak To Me works for everyone! Beginners will be able to communicate effectively right away. Intermediate to advanced can use the video to improving vocabulary and refining their accents. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I thought
It provides a lot of materials, but not as good as I expected. I'm really peculiar about graphics and it really disappointed me on that.

4-0 out of 5 stars Full of Creative Ideas
This book has many creative ideas to use with ESL students. The projects do not require much preparation. They are easy and the students enjoy them. Information such as short stories are easily understood. The best part of all is that the activities are organized by month. This book is a good resource for the ELL teacher.
