Get in line historical romance lovers! UNDONE, an anthology by Susan Johnson, Terri Brisbin, and Mary Wine will make a welcome addition to any keeper shelf!

AS YOU WISH by Susan Johnson

Virgin Felicity Belvoir is well thought of and is able to make even the hardest of heart like her.Men find her irresistible but are too much aware of her to take her virginity. It's a good thing the Earl of Albion isn't as reserved - he plans to take her virginity. And if rumors are true, Felicity is looking forward to every single risqué moment.

Felicity is a lovely woman. She has style and grace. Her peers love her - she is everything the jaded Earl of Albion needs, even if he is too stubborn to see what is in front of his face.I adore when the intentions of the hero doesn't happen as he planned!

A STORM OF LOVE by Terri Brisbin

Breac is on his way home after searching for a healer to give him herbs to help his dying sister. As he rests for the night, he is awakened by two men throwing a bundle off of a horse. The bundle moves, and Breac is surprised to see a trussed up and very much naked woman inside.Realizing the men mean to kill her, Breac stops them by promising to make her his slave.

Terri Brisbin pleasantly surprised me with A STORM OF LOVE.With drama, flair, and sensuous love scenes, I was unable to do anything other than fall in love with this spirited story.Ms. Brisbin's characters were enchanting!

STEALING THE BRIDE by Mary Wine

Hayden Monroe needs a wife in the worst way.As laird of his clan, Hayden knows his responsibilities. And finding a wife is a priority. Hayden finds the woman he desires in Elspeth Leask. She is a beauty, and Hayden is looking forward to bedding and then wedding this lovely lady.

I am certain that no one other than Mary Wine can tell a Scottish romance with such enticing words.STEALING THE BRIDE has just the right combination of sensuality and sexuality needed to bring Hayden and Elspeth alive.

UNDONE is a great anthology by three extremely talented authors. There is simply no way I could pick a favorite so I am not going to even try.Just know that each story will grab you and keep you warm and toasty as you read.Or, like me, it might make you sweat and shiver with anticipation!

5-0 out of 5 stars well written heated historicals

"As You Wish" by Susan Johnson. On 1785 London, the bet between two friends leads to Felicity Belvoir meeting the Earl; he wants to be her first and she wants him to be her last.

"A Storm of Love" by Terri Brisbin. In 1083 Scotland, Agnes of Mull is thrown out of her home into the dangerous wild, but Breac takes her in so she does not die.

"Stealing the Bride" by Mary Wine.In 1554 Scotland Laird Hayden Monroe needs a wife so he decides to kidnap his first and last choice Elspeth Leask as they share a deep passion that he hopes will turn into an even deeper love.

These are three well written heated historicals starring strong males and even stronger females.

3-0 out of 5 stars poor illustrations
The book is readable (if only it didn't weigh 1000 lbs--why aren't these textbooks on Kindle??) but many of the illustrations are poor and difficult to figure out. It's like the illustrator didn't understand what he/she was drawing. They look pretty, but don't portray what they're supposed to portray!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maternity and Pediatric Nursing
I ordered the book through Amazon Prime and it sure was quick. The book was just like new. I'm very satisfied. No complaints at all.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Not a bad book.Illustrations were really good. The questions for review were a little off subject. It is pretty weird to have the answers in a different location...i.e. on the web site. But the book is available on the website in PDF which was good.I think it would be a good reference book.I wouldn't used their numbers or parameters because its a little different from other material...ATI or HESI.I like the format or layout when used problem, assessment and intervention.Which is how alot of the comprehensive books were laid out.So it is more of a comprehesive textbook.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book
This book is very simple to read for people who have a hard time focusing on a lot of information. Not very complete for RN students, but if you are having a hard time understanding the content of your other books, this one will simplify it all and give you a good base. For LPN students, this should be more than enough.
Also a good option for reviewing the material before N-Clex or starting to wolk on the floor (If you have been working on Med-Surg or ER, and are being transfered to Peds, OB, or Nursery, and need to polish up on it.)
I wouldnt count on this book forall the information I need, if this is all you read, you will be lacking some knowledge.

2-0 out of 5 stars The worst textbook I have used to date.
I bought this textbook for OB and Peds and after having taken both classes, I honestly feel like burning this textbook. Like I said in the title, this is the worst textbook I have used to date. This is throughout my entire educational experience, not just nursing school. The reasons are as follows:

Cons:

Poor editing - This book is riddled with errors.

Contradictory information - There is nothing more frustrating that reading about a given value in one page and two pages down, getting a different value for the same thing. This of course may be attributable to the poor editing or due to there being two authors but given how much I paid, I should not have to consult another book in order to get something I can use.

Poor layout - This text has the most illogical and irritating layout ever. The tables and boxes for a given topic/subtopic typically appear in the middle of the next topic/subtopic which throws you off your stride as you read through the text book. Really annoying.

Online answers to book questions - Why they could not put the answers in the back of the book is beyond me. All the answers to the end of chapter questions are online. If you don't have the online code, you can't access them.

Pros:

Full text online: You need a code to access the online text but once you do, it is really handy. You can even print out the entire book online if you wish.

Wish I could think of more pros but that is it. If you have to use this book, I sympathize. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars pencils are for more than just writing
emily mendle is an extremely imaginative girl but,she can also be a pest.she hides/hoards pencils from her family, gives all the pencils names, and has made up stories and family histories for them.
one day,out with her friend, emily discovers a dead body and"unconsciously",emily took a "shiny golden pencil" from the dead man's bag thus, starting a chain reaction of events:a stranger shows up at her door wanting "something to write with",the ransacking of her home, being followed on a hike in the country...andmost unfortunate for emily is,because of past annoying behavior,no one believes anything that emily says.she is on her own in the belief that someone is trying to get something from her,but what?
is it the gold pencil?what does it have to do with the dead man?the ending was
somewhat vague.what HAD happened to the man who died?was it a natural death or was he killed?also the people who wanted the pencil-what happened to them?
maybe another reader can figure this out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
It's a shame this book is out of print now. It was a real good read and gave insight into the life of a young woman in the 1800s. I think it was quite an educational read too.
Like other reviewers said - it touches on a number of issues, anorexia being one of them.

4-0 out of 5 stars A very tragic way to live a life.
Plots in the story were really intriguing.Imagine yourself wasting away when you no longer have any control over your own life, but the very two things you have control over is making your precious quilt...And your weight.Nell's Quilt delivers a very serious message about a serious disease that's very real and happening even today.

1-0 out of 5 stars Two Thumbs Down
I have read good books, and this one is definately not one of them. It was horribly depressing and disgusting. I am apalled that I took my time to finish the book. It just kept getting worse and worse. The ending doesn't really have an ending at all.Would NOT recommend.

Appearing in this almost devastatingly emotional work are a variety of people in different countries, times and tragic situations. 5-0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this wonderful book!
FIRE IS FAVORABLE TO THE DREAMER is a lively and interesting book of poems.  These are not poems so obscure that the reader has no idea what the poet is saying but poems about love and loss.  There are personal poems of love and loss, but much of the book is narrative poems about real people such as Mary Todd Lincoln, Picasso, or the sailors of the Russian submarine the Kursk.  In contrast to these poems, some of the work is surreal and has the aura of myth or fairy tale.  This is a collection of immense breadth and depth.  I meant to open it and read a few poems but found myself reading on and on. I can't recommend it highly enough!

5-0 out of 5 stars Candor & Light: A Review of Fire Is Favorable to the Dreamer
If you buy one poetry book in the year 2003, make it Fire Is Favorable to the Dreamer, by Susan Terris. Sorrows of everyday life discover their niches, then move beyond the mundane into a world where grief itself teaches us to harbor the light within. Among my favorite poems were "Breaking Away From the Family" in which the author remembers her father's death: "Mother's pork sausage fingers" and the "stiff portrait" of five faces left behind.

Terris is a poet with the gift of understatement and grace. Stark, emotional realities are made into art and laced with a hint of mystery. Her readers will meet death, cancer, the roles of men and women, and growing up -- all in compelling new ways. Section three (entitled Blue Roses) is reminiscent of Tennessee Williams' famous play The Glass Menagerie, where light affords studious appraisal of one's life and mortal limits. Terris is one of the most profound and eloquent new voices in Amercian poetry today.
