Fue el tercer hijo de Leonard Huxley y de Julia Arnold. Por parte de su padre es nieto del célebre sabio inglés Thomas Huxley, el colaborador de Darwin y uno de los espíritus más notables que haya producido Gran Bretaña, y, por parte de su madre, está emparentado no sólo con Thomas Arnold, el educador entusiasta que se esforzó en hacer de los alumnos de Rugby "caballeros cristianos", sino también con el crítico y poeta Matthew Arnold y con la famosa novelista Mrs. Humphry Ward, quien fue una verdadera madre para Aldous cuando, a los diecisiete años, perdió la suya. Analizando esta ascendencia ilustre, dice André Amurois en su libro "Magicients et Logiciens": "Si imaginamos a un joven que tenga por abuelo paterno a Marcelin Berthelot, por padrea Alfred Croiset, por bisabuelo materno a M. Guizot, por tío abuelo materno a Sainte- Beuve o Joubert, y por tía a madame de Stäel, habremos transportado, en términos franceses, el árbol genealógico de Aldous Huxley". El resultado de esta combinación fue la naturaleza poética unida a una cultura científica que caracteriza a Huxley. Extractions: Educado en el seno de una familia de vasta cultura, estudia en la universidad de Eton y Oxford. Inicia su trayectoria literaria publicando artículos en diversas publicaciones. En 1921 sale a la luz su primer libro "Los escándalos de Crome". A esta edición le seguirían otras como "Heno antiguo", "Contrapunto" y "Un mundo feliz". En su forma de interpretar los acontecimientos es absolutamente crítico con la sociedad . Destacó por sus reflexiones científicas y filosóficas. Dentro de esta vertiente hay que citar "Los demonios de Loudon". También es autor de varios libros de ensayo como "Un Pilatos burlón" o "Literatura y ciencia". En la década de los años cuarenta se traslada a Estados Unidos, donde fija su residencia. El consumo de drogas y alucinógenos le llevó a experimentar sensaciones que luego plasmaría en su obra.

Huxley understood advancing technology absent of the restraint of ethical consideration would pose grave consequences for society-at-large. "Brave New World" is Huxley's warning to this planet to refrain from weeding out the humanity of our existence through mechanical efficiency or ideological fanaticism. "Brave New World", though written 16 years before "1984" is actually a political sister book to that terrifying vision that did come true with the crimes of the Soviet Stalinist regime. Both books stress the total control that is required by dictatorships. In "Brave New World" dissent is squashed by flooding the masses with "freedoms" like drugs and unrestricted sex while populating the society with genetic underclasses grown in a test-tube factory. Basically you were conceived to be a janitor and that is all you will ever be. Huxley's homeland of England, most likely gave him a few ideas in this direction, due to its class-obsessed society.
